As anyone who has read my greenwashing page knows, I tried to invent that term and failed, because it had already been invented... rather ironically, by those who are themselves guilty of it. But I think they got the term right.


So here is my second grab for etymological glory:


Greenhanded: Caught lying in order to save the world, in particular applied to environmental (Green) politics, but also seen for example in consequentialist thought.

Note that this usage has no connection to Holman the greenhanded whose name however preceded this usage.
