The alternatives

Page history last edited by Andrew Alder 1 year, 8 months ago

Part of the nuclear homework project and a page of energy issues

What are the alternatives to nuclear power?

Obviously coal and natural gas are alternatives. They are what New York and Germany have used to replace their prematurely closed PWRs, anyway. See what happens when you do not go nuclear.

Wind and solar are coming down in price and can and should be used where possible.

But to propose them as able to completely replace fossil and nuclear is as ridiculous as to propose nuclear to completely replace them. See the straw men.

We need a mix. See SWN.
